The purpose of the Colorado SEL Forum is to advance the understanding of social emotional learning among Colorado practitioners and initiate forward movement on developing a collaborative of partners throughout the Front Range community to promote best practices in SEL that result in “whole child” positive outcomes for students.

Participants can choose one of the following sessions to attend.
Practitioner Discussion: A discussion with educators, administrators and parents about what is happening ‘on the ground’ in their schools, districts and homes. Moderated by Kori Sanchez Smith, Josh Garcia, Leticia Guzman Ingram.
SEL and the Media: A discussion about SEL in film and its role in the classroom. Moderated by Dr. Bob Selman.
Colorado SEL Collaborative: An update on what’s been happening in Colorado and opportunities to get involved locally. Moderated by Beverly Rona
Science of SEL: A discussion of the many scientificially proven benefits of SEL. Moderated by Shirley Brandman, Dr. Roger Weissberg
Random Acts of Kindness Curriculum: A presentation & discussion about the Kindness in the Classroom lesson plans designed by the Random Acts of Kindness Foundation. Moderated by Dr. Kim Schonert-Reichl, Brooke Jones
Mental Health Wellness in Families: A presentation about mental health & wellness in a family setting. Moderated by Sona Dimidjian, PhD.
Tools of Equity: A presentation and discussion about various tools that can be utilized to achieve greater equity and opportunities for all. Moderated by Ben Kirschner, Michelle Shedro.
